Birthday Flashback: New Construction

As we mentioned in the previous post, February is our 7th Anniversary, so we're going to be posting pictures from the past 7 years of life at Finn MacCool's Pub. Below are some very early pics taken just prior to our original opening date. We'll post more as we near the anniversary of our Grand Opening, February 17th, and more still as we get closer to Saint Patty's Day.

Happy Birthday to Finn!

So many of you may not know this but tomorrow is kind of a special day for us.

February 7, 2005 was the day we first opened for business, which means tomorrow is our 7 year anniversary. And man, what a 7 years it's been!

We first found our little slice of Southside back in early 2004 and spent almost a year designing the tone, demolishing the old space and building a new neighborhood bar where people could come by and just sit and have a nice conversation. 

And 7 years later, we're still that place. Plus some new game space and a new kitchen.

Our Grand Opening was February 17, 2005, so over the next several days we're going to be showing some highlights over the past 7 years as we count down to the 17th. And if that isn't enough nostalgia, March 17th is of course Saint Patty's Day, and you should know by now we're one of the few bars in town that offer a day-long block party with live music at NO COVER.

So stay tuned and keep checking back in with us. There's a lot of history to cover in the next few days and a lot more to come in the future.

The entire group here at Finn's wants to say "Congrats" to JJ and Jessica on the purchase of their new home!!!  Awesome! 

Plus, this is exciting for two reasons:  First:  JJ and Jessica have purchased a wonderful home and will have many happy years there.   And Second:  Hopefully we have JJ here at Finn MacCool's for the next 30 years!!

Congrats again!!!

Spice Bar

We've been trying a few new things in the kitchen. Tonight we're trying a new queso and salsa dip and so far, delicious! So the next time you're here with a group and need a snack, order some chips with both dips for only $4.

Yeah that's right, $4!

So here I am, sitting in a San Francisco Irish Pub watching the Cowboys/Niners game. And as of right now, the Niners are winning. Awwwwwkward.

But seriously, these are two of my favorite teams so no love lost no matter who wins, right? Right?!
